On July 11th 2010 we got another significant display of the story and new meme with a total Solar Eclipse and the World Cup Finale taking place on the same day and at the same time, Twilight Eclipse was also released 12 days prior.

Definition: The word eclipse generally refers to those instances in which one object moves into the "shadow" of another.
1) The partial or complete obscuring, relative to a designated observer, of one celestial body by another.
2) A temporary or permanent dimming or cutting off of light.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partially obscuring Earth's view of the Sun. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is larger than the Sun, blocking all direct sunlight, turning "day" into "darkness". (WP)
The eclipse was one of the most remote in recorded history. It was visible over much of the southern Pacific Ocean, touching several atolls in French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Easter Island, and Argentina's Patagonian plains. Totality was observed for four minutes and 41 seconds (4:41) on Easter Island. The eclipse occurred at the same time that the final game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup was being played in South Africa. In the final match at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine, Spain won the tournament by a score of 4–0 over Italy on June 30th. Spain became the first team to win two consecutive European Championships, and the first European international team to win three straight major tournament titles (UEFA Euro 2008, 2010 FIFA World Cup).

:The Descent of Atlantis
Spain is the called the "Land of Setting Sun" (Spain motto = Further Beyond).
The true origins of the name España and its cognates "Spain" and "Spanish" are disputed. The ancient Roman name for Iberia, Hispania, may derive from poetic use of the term Hesperia to refer to Spain, reflecting Greek perception of Italy as a "western land" or "land of the setting sun" (Hesperia) and Spain, being still further west, as Hesperia ultima.
There are also claims that España derives from the Basque word Ezpanna meaning "edge" or "border". (WP)
Spain also being represented through their Coats of Arms formally and not the National Spanish Federation logo is symbolized as the Pillar's of Hercules or the Pillars of Atlantis. As the Pillars are said to be located in Spain and Morroco.
The week of the World Cup also saw the book release of "American Empire: Before the Fall" on July 3rd by Bruce Fein. Here America and Atlantis are clearly intertwined.
Then ten days later as if the Atlantis theme wasn't already confirmed, "Pillars of Earth" made its Series Premiere with the tagline "Nothing is Sacred". (Even America)

Synopsis: Like the novel on which it is based, the miniseries centers on the construction of a cathedral in the fictitious town of Kingsbridge during a tumultuous period of English history known as The Anarchy in the 12th century.
And for confirmation of said symbolism seen throughout this blog, in the opening introduction of Pillars to Earth we are given a montage of morphing images which comply with the archetypal symbolism of Atlantis.
"Pillars of Earth" = Atlantis = America = Phoenix = Sun = Crown = Jesus = Messiah"
Then keeping the theme of Atlantis in the mainstream the Pilot episode of The Event portrayed an Airplane flying and disappearing within 2 standing tress which resemble the Pillars, as Atlantis is found through or beyond the Pillars.

The sign is attested in business correspondence between British North America and Mexico in the 1770s, as referring to the Spanish-Mexican peso. The piastre was known as "Spanish dollar" in British North America and it was adopted as U.S. currency in 1785, together with the term "dollar" and the $ sign.
The sign's ultimate origins are not certain although it is widely accepted that it comes from the Spanish coat of arms, which carries the two Pillars of Hercules and the motto Plus Ultra in the shape of an "S".
