The Darkest Joke

"This town needs a better class of criminal" - Joker

The Joker characters origins are influenced from "The Man Who Laughs" (1928).

Bill Finger, the Ghost writer co-creator of Batman, brought credited Batman creator Bob Kane a photograph of actor Conrad Veidt wearing make-up for the "The Man Who Laughs (1928 film), and from this photograph the Joker was modeled. Reference was made to this influence in the graphic novel Batman: The Man Who Laughs, a retelling of the first Joker story from 1940. The credit for creation of the Joker is disputed. Kane responded in a 1994 interview to claims that created the concept of the character: Bill Finger and I created the Joker. Bill was the writer. Jerry Robinson came to me with a playing card of the Joker. That's the way I sum it up. [The Joker] looks like Conrad Veidt — you know, the actor in The Man Who Laughs, [the 1928 movie based on the novel] by Victor Hugo. [...] Bill Finger had a book with a photograph of Conrad Veidt and showed it to me and said, 'Here's the Joker'. Jerry Robinson had absolutely nothing to do with it, but he'll always say he created it till he dies. He brought in a "Playing card", which we used for a couple of issues for him [the Joker] to use as his playing card".

Dark Knight's Influence: Alan Moore's Killing Joke

(Alan Moores Killing Joke also syncs up with The band untitled the Killing Joke as in October 2007 their bassist Paul Raven (Crow/Jester) died. Raven was also working on a album with the band Ministry before he passed entitled The Last Sucker (Fool/Joker)).

Death of the Joker

In a New York Times" article, Ledger stated that his Joker is a "Psychopathy", mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero Empathy"

A revealing ? if ambiguous - comment made by Jack Nicholson hints he was aware Ledger was battling personal demons.

The acting veteran, who played the Batman's most famous Joker, said in London: "I warned him." Link

[Scene in the Dark Knight where the Joker plays dead in a bodybag, mimicking the real life scene of Ledger being taken out of his hotel room]

Heath Ledger's death after filming the role of the Joker and his upcoming movie Dr. Parnassas, was almost foreshadowed to happen (Nicholson/Movie Scene).

Why has a supposedly normal talented human not able to help himself? We all have our own personal troubles and somehow manage to stay above the curve. But with Ledger and the Joker we have seen what the accumulation of incorrect patterns can do.

Ledger just had a break up with his fiancee, was addicted to prescription pills, "may" have been back on heroin, all while he also had insomnia.

From Interview over Ledgers current conditions:

In a "New York Times" interview with Sarah Lyall published on November 4, 2007", Ledger stated that his recently-completed roles in The Dark Knight and I'm Not There had taken a toll on his ability to sleep: "Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night. ... I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going."

At that time, he told Lyall that he had taken two Ambien pills, after taking just one had not sufficed, and those left him in "a stupor, only to wake up an hour later, his mind still racing. Prior to his return to New York from his last film assignment, in London, in January 2008, while he was apparently suffering from some kind of Respiratory illness, he reportedly complained to his co-star Christopher Plummer that he was continuing to have difficulty sleeping and taking pills to help with that problem: "Confirming earlier reports that Ledger hadn't been feeling well on set, Plummer says, 'we all caught colds because we were shooting outside on horrible, damp nights.

But Heath's went on and I don't think he dealt with it immediately with the antibiotics.... I think what he did have was the Walking pneumonia.' [...] On top of that, 'He was saying all the time, "dammit, I can't sleep"...[sic] and he was taking all these pills [to help him]. In talking with Interview magazine after his death, Ledger's former fiancée Michelle Williams (actress)"also confirmed reports the actor had experienced trouble sleeping. 'For as long as I'd known him, he had bouts with Insomnia, she said. He had too much energy. His mind was turning, turning turning always turning.

However this cocktail of fake synthetic pills and narcotics are not the cure and solution in this situation of depression and insomnia. However they are the only legal, marketed and drugs that are available in America. Which the blind-folded society we live in accepts it as truth.

So unless if we are willing too break the law and risk our right of freedom, to use a psychedelic we wont find a truthful answer to humanities problems in its current state.

Prescription drugs in 2008 also played influential in the deaths of Anna Nicole Smith (overdose on prescription drugs) and Chris Benoit (prescription drugs and anabolic steroids).

A troubled psyche and these cocktails of prescription drugs are a combo which heads one straight into the darkness.

These few incidents in the celebrity star light in 2008 are perfect reflecting examples of the broken psyche of society. We have perfectly safe illegal drugs (psychedelics) which cant not be overdosed on (cannabis/psilocybin), and actually stabilize the psyche in the process of medicating, instead of what we have with the library of pills to just numb the pain enough for some time to pass, which always has to be repeated because the narcotics do no real actual healing.

But the governments profit too much from illegal and legal drugs too just hand over the War on Drugs and tally it as a loss and complete failure. Instead of having one market of substances where results matter, we've been given the Black and Corporate (White) Markets.

On the illegal market we have all the natural plants/fungus which cant be patented, capitalized financially on and controlled because they grow in nature.

Then they create the synthetic (artificial) pills and medicines derived from nature in factories making them legal thus acceptable, then since they are artificial and createdby the corporations they can now patent and control their drugs legally.

If there was one market for Synthetic and Natural drugs, common plants and fungus would override most if not all of synthetic pills (although not all synthetic drugs should be discarded either, as some will still hold benefits). However the prescription industry which rakes in about 6 billion per year would collapse in a free and open market right along with the black market for illegal drugs which as far as we know plays an integral part in maintaining the debt filled economy.

But the joke of it all is that we are willfully accepting this situation, we are taking these so called safe drugs (pills) and allowing people to tell us what is right or wrong, we are suppressing our own immortality and we don't wish too think anyway else. To recreate the world we must recreate ourselves and that's were failure has displayed it self so well, no one is willing to sacrifice and someone runs to the bank laughing.

THE JOKER/JESTER/CLOWN:

At every journey's start, there is the impetus that takes us forward. This force exists before any physical movement. Consciously or subconsciously, all of our self-aware actions are dictated by our will. Before taking any journey, first the will must want to take the journey. It is the force which sends the signal that allows the foot to take the step. The Fool represents this force. The Fool is the first card of the Major Arcana, but its number is 0. It resides outside of the Major Arcana, and it can be taken as the state that signifies the beginning. The Fool represents bravery at the start of a journey and the willingness to travel beyond the known territory, and so it is often seen manifested in rights of passage or as the first step of an Initiate. The Initiate starts off with a vague understanding of the consequences involved but exhibits a willingness to follow the path anyways. There is an almost subconscious understanding that at the end of the trail will be answers, but this is more faith than anything else. Some people find Clown disturbing rather than amusing. It is not uncommon for children to be afraid of disguised, exaggerated, or costumed figures like Santa Claus.

In his writings of the late 1980s, "Henry Louis Gates, Jr. presents the concept of Signifyin(g). Wound up in this theory is the idea that the “master’s house” can be “dismantled” using his “tools” if the tools are used in a new or unconventional way. To demonstrate this process, Gates cites the interactions found in African American narrative poetry between the trickster, the Signifying Monkey”, and his oppressor, the Lion.According to Gates, the “Signifying Monkey” is the “New World figuration” and “functional equivalent” of the Esu trickster figure of African Yoruba mythology. The Lion functions as the authoritative figure in his classical role of “King of the Jungle.” He is the one who commands the Signifying Monkey’s movements. Yet the Monkey is able to outwit the Lion continually in these narratives through his usage of figurative language. According to Gates, “The Signifying Monkey is able to signify upon the Lion because the Lion does not understand the Monkey’s discourse…The monkey speaks figuratively, in a symbolic code; the lion interprets or reads literally and suffers the consequences of his folly… In this way, the Monkey uses the same language as the Lion, but he uses it on a level that the Lion cannot comprehend. This usually leads to the Lion’s “trounc[ing]” at the hands of a third-party, the Elephant. The net effect of all of this is “the reversal of [the Lion’s] status as the King of the Jungle. In this way, the “master’s house” is dismantled when his own tools are turned against him by the trickster Monkey.

Brandon Lee who also died at the age of 28 as Eric Draven (Crow/Jester):

V for Vendetta:

The Crow:

Darker than the Bat? Crows..Known as the clowns of the bird world.Native American tradition: Crow is an omen of Change. Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time, therefore, it sees past, present and future simultaneously. Crow merges both light and dark, both inner and outer. It is the totem of the Great Spirit and must be respected as such. The crow as an archetype: Archetypal crows are also compared to the Jester/Trickster- "Mythic poets," Hughes wrote in Shakespeare and the Goddess of Complete Being...seem to be a distinct biological type. In their work, beneath the "surface glitter of the plot", there lies a deep "mythic plane" where, as for the Occult Neoplatonists of Shakespeare's time, "all archaic mythological figures and events are available as a thesaurus of glyphs or token symbols. Hughes was interested in Occult Neo-Platonism, in Kabbalah, and in Alchemy and he was knowledgeable about all these arts.Hughes, therefore, makes it clear that Crow has many characteristics in common with Man. Also, given the cheeky, interfering, amoral, destructive and sometimes constructive personality which emerges through the medium of Crow's "life and songs", plus Hughes' own predilection for mythological archetypes, the comparison of Crow with the Trickster figure common in many mythologies is natural. By adopting and developing this trickster figure Hughes was, therefore, extending his exploration into his own mind and (if Jung is correct in his interpretation of Trickster)into the human mind in general. In so doing, Hughes extended the death/rebirth theme of his poetry to include the idea of spiritual growth and rebirth for Man, which is a most important part of the Trickster Cycle. This pattern has been traced in detail in the Crow poems by Sagar and Hirschberg It also features the same theme as the crow: People once believed that when someone dies a crow carries that soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes something so bad happens that terrible sadness is carried with it. And the soul can't rest. And sometimes the crow can bring that soul back to put the wrong things right.

Heath Ledgers moves career started with the film Clowning around and now abruptly ends when he slips into a black-and-white clown costume while filming the Terry Gilliam directed film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

The Hanged Man: Tarot major arcana:

Temporary suspension of progress. Flexibility of mind and a willingness to adapt to changes. Sacrifice in the present to reap benefit in the future. A waiting period. Rebirth. Sacrificing one thing to obtain another. Transformation. Circumstances literally turned on their head.

However more astounding is that Lily Cole will play Valentina in Dr. Parnassus and will move onto the film Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carrol and play Alice, which is Directed, Written and starred by another Jester Marilyn Mansion.

During This Dark Knight/Jester period also seen the death of a actor who portrayed the famous Bozo the Clown.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Larry Harmon, who turned the character Bozo the Clown into a show business staple that delighted children for more than a half-century, died Thursday of congestive heart failure. He was 83. His publicist, Jerry Digney, told The Associated Press he died at his home.Although not the original Bozo, Harmon portrayed the popular clown in countless appearances and, as an entrepreneur, he licensed the character to others, particularly dozens of television stations around the country. The stations in turn hired actors to be their local Bozos."You might say, in a way, I was cloning BTC (Bozo the Clown) before anybody else out there got around to cloning DNA," Harmon told the AP in a 1996 interview."Bozo is a combination of the wonderful wisdom of the adult and the childlike ways in all of us," Harmon said.

The teen, who visiting the park with a church group from Springfield, South Carolina, was decapitated, she said.It was unclear how fast the outside-looping coaster was moving when it struck the teen, but according to the park's Web site, the ride reaches speeds of 50 mph."We do not know why this person was intent on gaining access to this restricted area," the statement said, noting that multiple signs are posted stating, "Danger Zone," "Do Not Enter" and "Authorized Personnel Only."

"Some witnesses have stated that the individual was trying to retrieve something he had lost," Sheth said. "Others reported that he was trying to touch the ride. This is merely speculation at this point, and we are working with park visitors and local police to learn more." No one on the ride was injured, she said. Police said the incident occurred about 2 p.m. The ride was closed Saturday, but park officials said they expected it to reopen Monday. The victim's family was at the park with him, Sheth said, and park representatives were with them Saturday evening."Our thoughts and prayers are with the family," she said. 8. dude, you do realize you're not making a good case for psychedelics, right? With all your paranoid delusions and wackjob conspiracy theories, you're making ALL drug-users look like crackpots

  9. Nah,symbolism _is_ what is generally referred to as crackpot theories.

I have a strange way of connecting things, my brain doesn't stop. Rather annoying, but it means I can predict what people are going to do, almost intuitively grasp uni level subjects, etc.

But to anyone else I seem insane.

Same thing here, it might make a twisted sort of sense, but it's still utter lunacy to everyone else.
